Las Américas Institute of Technology (ITLA) is a technical institution of higher studies established in 2000 by the Dominican State. The only one specialized in technological education in the Dominican Republic and recognized for the prestige and quality of its services.

As a reference of technological education in the Caribbean, ITLA guides its vocation to transform the life of youth through academic training that enables them to use technology as a catalyst for the social and human development of citizens.

ITLA implements a constructivist educational model based on know-how. All careers have a practical approach that allows active learning. Laboratories and workshops are the center of his pedagogical proposal. Intensive use is made of technology applied to education, integrating the innovative tools that are emerging in the industry.

As an institute specializing in Information and Communication Technology (ICT), in addition to engineering areas such as Mechatronics and Manufacturing, ITLA offers two-year higher education degrees, as well as short-term professional technical training. The areas of current ITLA specialization are: Information Networks, Software Development, Computer Security, Multimedia, Sound, Mechatronics, Automated Manufacturing of Medical Devices, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science and Videogames.
