UNIBE is a private non-profit university established in the Dominican Republic in 1982. UNIBE is one of the leading universities in the country, recognized by the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Technology of the Dominican Republic. The main campus is located in the heart of Santo Domingo and a new Cap Cana campus is located in La Altagracia, touristic city at the east side of the island. UNIBE offers 15 undergraduate programs, 1 of them taught completely in English and the rest with two modalities: Spanish or bilingual (English and Spanish), more than 30 graduate programs at the and several certificate programs and diplomas in the continuing education department. UNIBE conducts research mainly in the areas of Health, Psychology, Education, Environment and Social Sciences. Holds an UNESCO Chair on Academic and Social Inclusion for People with Disabilities and Special Education Needs. UNIBE has a student body of 5,000 students from more than 43 countries and 750 faculty members. More than 16,000 alumni have graduate from our institution. Internationalization is a key component of university’s programs. Study Abroad Program offers semester exchanges with 84 universities in 24 countries and a wide range of short-term programs offered for international students. The Institution is known for being dynamic and highly spirited; it also pays special interest in the growth and wellbeing of students.
